Future Design Challenge Brief

Designers solve real-world problems by understanding people's needs.

Your challenge is to design something that could improve people's lives using a human-centred design approach.

Students may design:

  • A product

  • A service

  • A digital technology

  • A system or experience

  • A sustainable solution

Students should generate multiple ideas, prototype concepts and refine their designs through testing and feedback.

Open Design Challenge

Open-ended design challenges encourage students to explore diverse ideas, develop creative confidence, and engage with real-world design contexts. Allowing students to select themes and explore their own ideas supports autonomy, creativity, and reflective design thinking.
